Kathmandu City
Kathmandu, the Nepal's
capital city, is a place where two great civilizations, Hinduism and Buddhism,
confluence since centuries. For every proud resident, the city wholeheartedly
offers an unfathomable feeling of belonging of its affluent antique
cultural and religious heritage.
I like my city because it is a land of
enlightened Yogis. This is a place where region, culture, music and humanity
are fabricated together in order to make peoples' daily cores. It has become a
center of attraction for both the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, and thousands of
tourists from all across the world every year.
In recent years, Kathmandu has doubled its
population due to internal migration. Now, the city has become a common home
for over four million people. The population pressure still continues. And, to
preserve its heritage and historic values, a massive urban management planning are
required. Indeed, I love my city and its spiritual tranquility forever.
